The Department of Mining Engineering at IIPM-SET Kansbahal was started in 2017, with the approval of All-India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The first batch of Diploma students completed in 2020 and currently the sanctioned intake of the diploma program is 60. Facilities for the students have access to a wide variety of engineering software, testing facilities, and analytical equipment available throughout the institute. The department strives to remain in the forefront of science and technology related to mining and natural resources engineering.
The Department of Mining Engineering at IIPM-SET, Kansbahal was the pioneer in imparting Mining Engineering education in the state. Our students are trained in sound fundamental theories in engineering backed by state-of-the-art laboratory and computational facilities. The department has regular intense interactions with the industries, which help the students to get abreast of the latest developments.
